Welcome in Mattia's new room! With your help we were able to build this protected area with everything that Mattia needs (and our hospital doesn't provide for us). There is even a small video camera so he can be constantly monitored. Matti needs a bacteria-free environment (as much as possible of course) in order to prevent possible new infections and complications. And we did it, thanks to you!! 

Benvenuti nella nuova camerata di Mattia! Con il vostro aiuto abbiamo costruito questa are protetta con tutto quello di ci Matti ha bisogno e la Asl non ci ha fornito. C'e' anche una piccola videocamera così puo' essere costantemente sotto controllo. Mattia ha bisogno di essere in un ambiente il più' possible privo di batteri, per scongiurare nuove infezioni e complicazioni. E ce l'abbiamo fatta, grazie a voi!

On December the 6th, the wonderful Zac Tattoo crew organized a full day of walk-in charity to help our association and almost 60 tattoos studios took part to the event! We want to thank everybody for the generosity, you guys rock!

A new medical device has arrived, thanks to all your kind donation! This strange inflatable bed will help us to bathe Mattia properly and in more relaxed way. Before this was a very complicated and painful moment, now he can finally enjoy a relaxing bathtub bathe ;) Thank you everybody, from the bottom of our heart.

New hand tutors for Mattia: they will allow Matti to keep his hands well open. We have to thank our friends Peppe Procentese and Nicoletta Milo who helped us to get them as soon as possible. And  huuuuge hug to you  all, we were able to buy the new tutors thanks to your kind donations.

We finally had the possibility to collect receipts and documents to show you how the funds we collected over the last years have been invested. This is the receipt of the donation we were able to do to the National Tay-Sachs and Allied Diseases Association, a leading authority for genetic diseases research.  Thank you for your help and allow us to support the research!


Finalmente abbiamo avuto la possibita' di raccogliere ricevute e documenti che certifichino come i soldi che abbiamo raccolto negli ultimi anni, sono stati investiti. Questa e' la ricevuta della donazione fatta alla National Tay-Sachs and Allied Diseases Association, tra le piu' autorevoli associazioni per la ricerca sulle malattie genetiche. Grazie di cuore per averci aiutato e averci permesso di sostenere la ricerca!

Chet Zar: "Original Study"
Born on November 12th, 1967, in the harbor town of San Pedro, CA, Chet Zar's interest in art began at an early age. His parents were always very supportive and never put any limits on his creativity. His entire childhood was spent drawing, sculpting and painting. Zar's interest in the darker side of art began in the earliest stages of his life. A natural fascination with all things strange fostered within himself a deep connection to horror movies and dark imagery. He could relate to the feelings of fear, anxiety and isolation that they conveyed. These are themes which had permeated most of his childhood drawings and paintings and are reflected in his work to this day.
The combined interest in horror films and art eventually culminated into a career as a special effects make up artist, designer and sculptor for the motion picture industry, designing and creating creatures and make up effects effects for such films as, "The Ring", "Hellboy I & II", "Planet of the Apes" and the critically acclaimed music videos for the art metal band Tool. Zar also embraced the digital side of special effects as well, utitlizing the computer to translate his dark vision with 3D animation for Tool’s live shows and subsequently releasing many of them on his own DVD of dark 3D animation, "Disturb the Normal".
But the many years spent dealing with all of the politics and artistic compromises of the film industry left Zar feeling creatively stagnant. At the beginning of 2000 (at the suggestion of horror author Clive Barker), he decided to go back to his roots and focus on his own original works and try his hand at fine art, specifically painting in oils. The result has been a renewed sense of purpose, artistic freedom and a clarity of vision that is evident in his darkly surreal (and often darkly humorous) paintings.
His artistic influences include painter James Zar (stepfather and artistic mentor), Beksinski, H.R. Giger, Frank Frazetta, M.C. Escher, Bosch, John Singer Sargent and Norman Rockwell just to name a few.

Finally Mattia is out of the hospital! After weeks and weeks were Matti was battling with the surgery and a new pesistant infection, he did it, we are home! Nothing better to celebrate big victories like this one than have some new amazing art to show. The worldwide famous toy artist 64 Colors just donated these two stellar 3 inches customs. We have no words to say to all our artists how thankful we are :)

Finalmente Mattia e' uscito dall'ospedale ed e' a casa! Dopo settimane e settimane di battaglia tra operazione ed una infezione tenace Mattia ce l'ha fatta ed ora siamo a casa! E non niente di meglio per celebrare una grande vittoria come questa che avere nuovi customs favolosi. 64 Colors,  toy artist di fama mondiale, ci ha appena donato questi due meravigliosi 3 inches. Non abbiamo parole per esprimere la nostra gratitudine a tutti i nostri artisti :)

We have GREAT news! After days and days of a terrible respiratory infection, Mattia finally was able to undergo a tracheostomy surgery that went great! Mattia is of course still in the hospital but he is doing good, yay! :) 
We also added a new shop section dedicated just to toys, custom and sculpture, so now the navigation is much easier. Let us know what do you think about it :)

Abbiamo GRANDI notizie! Finalmente dopo settimane di una terribile infezione alle vie respiratorie, Mattia e' stato operato e la tracheotomia e' andata alla grande! Ovviamente Matti e' ancora in ospedale ma sta benino, hurra! :)
Abbiamo aggiunto una nuova sezione allo shop interamente dedicata ai toys, custom e alle sculture, cosi la navigazione sara' ancora piu' facile. Fateci sapere cosa ne pensate :)
